RESEARCH AND ADVOCACY ANALYST vacancies Requirements:-
At least an Honours degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification (a Masters’ Degree is preferred) and approximately 4 years’ relevant experience with a preference for degrees in the following fields: –
- Politics/Political Science and Law
- Economics, Accounting or related fields
- Public Administration or related fields
- Journalism/Media Studies
Relevant experience includes:
- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, preferably in public finance, political science, public administration or related areas.
- Experience engaging with public resource management systems, state employees and members of the executive within the South African context on budget, governance and accountability issues.
- Prior work experience concerned especially with improving one or more of the following: Government service delivery mechanisms, open budgeting, transparency, accountability and oversight processes within government.
- Experience engaging with the media, including providing comment, radio and television interviews on the aforementioned areas of expertise.
- Prior experience working with civil society groups on budget justice and accountability issues is advantageous.
- A publishing record is advantageous.
